Biothreat Nipah Virus Alert
Security managers biothreats on the ground
A province in a remote area of India (Jan 2026) alerted their authorities of people infected with the Nipah virus.
- Mortality rate between 40 and 75 percent – No CureÂ
- Incubation period between one to two weeks. This means that people can infect others without knowing so.Â
The major concern is the global transmission of the virus through the aviation network be it on planes, through airports, all transit means from airports throughout the inter-module transport infrastructure (bus-train-taxi) to cities and tailing off into the countryside. The tourism sector absorbs millions into hotels and motels, B & B run by the private sector, besides other facilities that offer accommodation.
First Step
Contingency Budgets must be considered in order to profit-protect.
- Hasmat clothing for the front line.
- Eye protection wear is virtual as the eyes are just as porous as the mouth.Â
- Stock up on Gloves as the transmission is via droplets.Â
- Profit protecting is by cross training key people to multitask when others get sick.Â
- Teams must follow protocols when using Electronic thermometers especially in countries that are in winter mode as the core temperatures must be read.Â
- Certain mass thermal detection CCTV technology is banned from many government websites for good reason. Find out the reason why as it may impact the budgetary spend.Â
- Behavioural Analytic software to reduce certain crime that compromises a peaceful atmosphere besides mitigating infections, e.g., counter tailgating of people especially if they are carrying certain items such for example, oxygen bottles.Â
