The manufacturer is a recognized quality supplier to the concrete and masonry construction industry of resins, adhesives, curing and sealing compounds. The manufacturer utilizes video surveillance as an integral part of its quality assurance process. To date, Mace has supplied cameras, monitors, and two-way audio capability for over 150 of the manufacturer’s customer locations. Mace Security International, Inc. (Nasdaq Global: MACE) today announced that its recently acquired Mace CSSS division has successfully converted to the technologically advanced monitoring platform-stages™ by Secure Global Solutions. The stages™ platform offers a comprehensive browser-based dealer application, allowing security dealers the ability to maintain full control of their clients and database. The new web access portal is configured to afford the dealer the benefit to review activity as it is happening. The software also provides comprehensive user-defined action plans to guide operators through the dispatch process. This reduces dispatch time and errors and establishes greater operator consistency. The implementation of the stages™ platform is the first phase of a development strategy by Mace CSSS to provide their security dealers with the best technology for real time monitoring requirements. In the next phase, the division will upgrade its existing video monitoring and management platform Sure View to offer its dealers a web services interface. The final phase of this new service level will be provided through the introduction of the backStage™ platform that will provide continuous data collection and knowledge to manage network risks. Mr. Taylor will commence his duties with Mace on May 19, 2009. He replaces Eduardo Nieves, Jr., who is leaving Mace on May 29, 2009 for family reasons. Mr. Nieves will continue his duties as Vice President of Investor Relations until May 29, 2009. Mr. Taylor was previously the Vice President of Global Marketing for InkSure Technologies, a company focused on the prevention of counterfeiting and the development of RFID technology. Prior to his InkSure position, Mr. Taylor served as Vice President of Marketing of Dedicated Micros, Inc., a world leader in digital and network video security solutions, and he held several management positions at Sensormatic Electronics, Inc. Mr. Taylor has approximately 30 years of business experience, including over 17 years in the security industry. Horsham, Pennsylvania – July 31, 2008 - Mace Security International, Inc. Gerald LaFlamme will continue to serve as the Company’s Interim Chief Executive Officer and President, until Mr. Raefield assumes the offices. A member of the Board of Directors of Mace since October of 2007, Mr. Raefield is currently President of Reach Systems, Inc., a privately owned manufacturer of security access control systems. He previously served as President of Ademco and Honeywell Access Systems, a division of Honeywell, Inc. and as President of Pinkerton Systems Integration, Inc., a division of Pinkerton. Mr. Raefield will be resigning his position as President of Reach Systems, Inc. on August 15, 2008; effective with his resignation Mr. Raefield will become a director of Reach Systems, Inc. “I am honored and excited to join Mace and help lead this fine company in a return to profitability, stable growth, and increased shareholder value,” said Mr. Raefield. “Our goal is to have the Mace® name become synonymous with personal and business security, as well as becoming a strong player in digital media marketing. “My first goal will be to raise the top line revenue with quality and profitable products, which has always been the basis for the Mace reputation.
