Break-out Sessions delivered by the industries leading experts will provide
valuable knowledge when specifying such technology
This presentation will focus on IP as an essential enabling technology
in the application of BS8418 – the British Standard for detector-activated,
remotely monitored CCTV. It will look at the impact of IP technology in
the application of the standard and its results in providing the bottom
line security and financial benefits of BS8418 compliance.
The presentation will be supported by the latest figures regarding BS8418's ability to dramatically reduce false activations. Crucially, the presentation will highlight the positive experiences of end users with regards to crime prevention, including an industrial site in the West Midlands where remotely monitored CCTV solution has successfully been brought in to combat a spate of out of hours attacks from criminals trying to steal valuable metal ingots and has led, directly, to the arrest and prosecution of a number of suspects.

IIPSEC 2008 boasts worldwide support as the Far East invests.
Europe’s premier IP networked security event ‘IIPSEC 2008’ due to be held in Coventry (UK) 2007 reported an increase in overseas support for the show from countries such as Taiwan, Korea, China, India, Germany, Spain, Holland and the USA.
Commenting on the increased interest to exhibit event director Kevin Fagan said “In the last month we have been inundated with enquiries from almost all corners of the globe concerning the show. Everyone it seems now wants to ride the IP wave that’s sweeping Europe. Korea and Taiwan are already well down the digital road and are keen to hook up with re-sellers and create channels for their products”.
