Supply Chain Security Assessment -
Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) / Partners in Protection (PIP) Overview:

Global Protective Management (GPM) introduces its Supply Chain Security Assessment module. This module is comprised of over 360 questions specifically designed to assist, manufacturers, freight forwarders, exporters and importers, their Security Personnel, Consultants and Auditors, with the evaluation of the level and nature of protections and vulnerabilities that may exist in their supply chain and facilities. This assessment process, is based upon the requirements of both the C-TPAT and PIP programs and will enable companies to demonstrate a transparent process, which produces thorough and concise reports as well as the ability to track remediation of security shortfalls or vulnerabilities. We believe that by using this assessment process companies will enhance their overall chances of being certified by US and Canadian Customs. The module provides selectable compliance levels for each area of operation and allows users to implement the standardized question set as is, or modify it to address individual facility and operations' features and needs.

* Companies across the supply chain have specific security concerns that are not found in most other environments. Maintaining an acceptable level of security in this unique environment is extremely difficult. GPM introduces the Supply Chain Security Assessment process that automates and simplifies the process, which is what industrial and organizational, security professionals have been waiting for.

* GPM'sSupply Chain Security Assessment allows for security assessments that address the C-TPAT AND PIP guidelines. These assessments can be conducted in reduced time frames using consistent reporting and measurable compliance formats. This module facilitates consistent, detailed security evaluation of supply chain facilities, sites, operational procedures and controls. The need for consistency of reporting is especially critical for companies who operate multiple, geographically diverse facilities and operations

* This process affords a 50% to 75% saving in time over manual assessment methods.

COMPANY VIEWPOINT

John.E.Hess, President, Global Protective Management Inc.:
"The challenges for the security professional continue a number of initiatives that were started by government are now to a point where the rubber meets the road.
One such initiative that has been undertaken by a number of countries around the world is Supply Chain Security. This initiative is known as Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism ("C-TPAT") in the U.S. and Partners in Protection ("PIP") in Canada. These initiatives have an impact on virtually all industry and corporations that are involved in manufacture, export and import of goods. The search for technology to assist with these and other similar initiatives continues.
GPM has developed a Supply Chain Security assessment product that automates the assessment process to assist business, in becoming certified as C-TPAT/PIP compliant. This assessment software is another one of Global Protective Management's SecureAssess products"
