Intersec trade fair and conference is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition for security and safety in the Middle East. 2011 Intersec will take place from 16 to 18 January 2011, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

In this year Intersec, GKB Security Corporation will exhibit its newly surveillance solutions in Hall2-621C booth, including Megapixel IP solutions, pioneer CCTV analog cameras, Video Fire Detection System, and Verifeye mobile recording system.

GKB exhibit its Video Fire Detection System and Verifeye Mobile Recording System in 2010 Security China in Beijing, China

Security China 2010, the 10th China International Exhibition on Public Safety and Security, will be held in 2nd to 5th Nov in Beijing, China. GKB Security Corporation will take this chance to firstly exhibit its security solutions in the China market. GKB security solutions including Video Fire Detection System (VFDS), Verifeye Mobile Recording System and related surveillance products will be exhibited here at booth A110.

This is the first time for GKB Security to exhibit Video Fire Detection System (VFDS) in the China fire security market. GKB developes the "Day and Night Smart Timer" technology to provide intellegance to cameras, as well as, to make camera installation easier and smarter.

An often problem of camera installation is like, in a dim light environment such as a casino, the video monitored turn to color or monochrome without notice, and this cause big headache for installers and also for casino owners. To solve the problem, GKB developed the “Day & Night Smart Timer” technology that enables cameras to act according to users’ requirement, and to make camera installation easier and smarter.

GKB pioneer the “Day & Night Smart Timer” technology that allows the camera to be programmed for an automatic switch between day and night mode following a pre-determined schedule. The camera could be setup with Color mode or B/W mode with schedule of “hour by hour”. It’s an installer-friendly technology that helps camera installation in different places with different light conditions without worrying the pictures turn to color or monochrome wrongly.

GKB applies “Day & Night Smart Timer” technology on most of GKB new released high-end cameras, different types of cameras including dome camera, bullet cameras, and box cameras. GKB announced to be SI provider

GKB officially announced to change the company name from “GKB CCTV CO, LTD” to “GKB Security Corporation”, and also exhibit a new LOGO, new slogan and new website in this April. From 2008, GKB initiated a corporate-wide transformation that shifted from hardware manufacturer to security solution provider, and now it’s time to show to the market.

Transforming to be SI provider

Knowing that system integration and network-based security solution are inevitable trends in the security industry, GKB is now prepared well. From 2008, GKB’s R&D efforts are expand from products to security system solutions, and GKB now not only offers hardware but also security total solutions. Focus on the need of small and medium-sized system integrators, GKB released numbers of solutions such as professional network surveillance system, POS surveillance system, Video alarm system, and VFDS (video fire detection system).

Customer-oriented cooperation and product development have long been GKB’s belief. GKB now works more closely with system integrators and installers, and to offer security solutions with customized service according to the installation or project requirements.

New Company Name, New logo

GKB’s new logo shows the determination of transforming and its promise to customers. In April 2009, GKB changed its logo from previous blue logo into grey wording with green logo. The design of new logo comes from the idea of user-friendly and innovation. The green logo in top right comes from the image of kite. Like a kite above the sky, GKB is watching over our safety from above.

Making the World Safer, by Making Security Easier

At GKB, the new slogan is ‘Making Security Easier’. Since ‘911’, the way the world views security and safety has changed drastically. Today, GKB is helping develop the products and solutions that contribute to a safer world. GKB is doing so through research and development of intuitive and easy-to-use security solutions that make the installation, maintenance and application of security ever easier. As the new slogan shows, GKB’s mission is to make the world safer, by making security easier.

GKB CCTV introduces Video Fire Detection System (VFDS), an integration of CCTV surveillance and a new generation of fire alarm. Says it’s the world first fire system that can detect fire and smoke with 20 seconds, and preventing fire at the very first moment.

With high recognition and high sensitivity, this evolutionary system is to apply video analytics to detect fire and smoke in its infancy rather to wait for heat or smoke particles to reach and trigger a sensor. Once the abnormal signal detected, VFDS not only transmit audio and video warning, and also send emails or messages to user’s mobile phone. In consequence, onsite security personnel can response at the first time.

Due to environment limitation, traditional fire and smoke detectors may not observe weak smoke and heat in open space. However, VFDS detect the fire and smoke by images captured by CCTV cameras, with high sensitivity, fire and smoke can be detected within 20 seconds. VFDS is the only video fire system that can detect both fire and smoke, and also can analyse both black and colour images in daytime and night-time.

Installation of VFDS is no limitation. Applications such as public construction, large factory, stadium, shopping mall, airport, oil plant, and so on. GKB VFDS console can manage 16 VFDS system, and one VFDS system can deal with 8 cameras at one time, means VFDS console can deal with up to 128 cameras at the same time.

GKB VFDS now has patent in Taiwan, EU, USA, Japan, Korea, and China. FM approval is under application, and assumed to obtain FM approval in Dec.

This year, GKB earned the 15 th National Award, which was awarded by the president of Taiwan. (There are 7 companies were selected this year. 4 of them are now publicly listed.)
